Payton likes to have a 3rd QB, sometimes is an out of positition player (Terrance Copper) and sometimes it's an actual QB (harrington, Daniel). Does Daniel getting cut mean Moore is back? I remember him being payton's emergency QB at some point. Agree? Am I looking to much into this?

It could. Moore has been the emergency qb for a while. If Chase is gone, there are only 2 qbs on the roster. Maybe its a sign that Moore is close.

Great question.

At first glance, it seems strange that an undefeated team would be so active; however, there's a few reasons why changes were made.

1. Eckel...He absolutely gave up on the long punt return. He compounds that by getting pancaked on the 4th and 1. If you can't carry your weight on the few plays you're called upon for, why keep him.

2. McAlister...Can't play special teams and the lost of Dunbar really puts some pressure on getting live bodies out there. Added to this, he almost cost the Saints the game with that stupid face mask call at a critical time. Yeah, he caused the fumble but Payton doesn't accept bad news well...especially from a veteran.

Here's a better question:

Why is Carney still on the roster when we have so many holes at CB and LB?

I don't know, but I've come to realize that the guys who getting paid to make these decisions have been doing pretty damn good...so, I'll just sit and watch.
