Saints: Pass att. 46 rush att. 11 sacks 1 top 26:14
Falcons: Pass att. 35 rush att. 34 sacks 6 top 33:46

Saints:1st downs 18 score:9
Falcons:1st downs 24 score:26

The Saints averaged over 4.7 yds. per rush att. while the Falcons averaged 4.2. You can't establish a running game if you only make 11 fricking attempts. You can't have a balanced offense with no running game. You can avoid 6 fricking sacks if you have a balanced offense. You can keep a defense on their heels and guessing if your offense is balanced.
Think about it. 46 passes 11 rushes 9 points
35 passes 34 rushes 26 points

I said it as well, even when it was just 1 possession the fear of falling behind came fast and early because of these long drives. We didn't run. We barely tried. We opted to throw all over the place and while it worked on some plays, it made tough plays impossible.

Felt like a 2012, 2014-16 offense all over again

One dimensional thinking will bring you one dimensional results. We have the horses to do both .

Key Fact . In the years we didn't run a balanced offense we never made it out of the playoffs.

Key stat:

Falcons: 6 first downs by penalty.

Saints: 1 first down by penalty.

We have seen this type of discrepancy in previous Falcon Saints games.

This type of stat overcomes a good defense.

It keeps your defense on the field for too many plays.

You can't give an opponent extra chances to score.
