You really are pissing me off today. If you haven't noticed, this is a saints board. Not a saints hate board. I think for the most part saints FANS reside here, minus the hacks that come out on game day. If a player is absolute garbage ( Charles grant, Jason David) saints fans won't sit there ignoring the obvious blindly defending. But to come on here and dog this dude because he doesn't have 800 yards at 10ypc, and 8 tds in week 4 is fricking ridiculous and shows you have an agenda. The guy is producing well and getting better every week in a pass heavy offense with a stable of HEALTHY running backs to divide the touches. Ivory was featured alot last season whenever he could actually get on the field. This Ingram thread bashing is just agenda based and really needs to stop (which it won't). You're calling saints fans out on a SAINTS board. Why don't you take a break and go jack Alejandro off somewhere. You have much more success at that than starting threads on saints talk.

It's interesting that that data point you've chosen in one that pertains to a team following a 1-15 season as opposed to one two years out from a Super Bowl.

Its Emmits first 4 games as rookie. They went 7-9 that year.

Your not taking consideration we are a pass happy team with a so so run blocking offensive line. We also use 3 RBs.

We've also been playing from behind in the first 3 games. Especially the two shootouts against the Packers and Texans.

Ingram is the type of running back in the NFL that gets better the more that you use him. Because he is in a backfield that splits carries between 3 different guys that makes him a role player and it is more difficult for a runner like him to get the impressive numbers as long as his carries stay around the 10-15 area. He is a running back who if he gets 20-25 carries a game he pounds on the defense and gets more effective as the game goes on. I think Ingram plays his role well with this Saints team.

With a healthy Ivory his role is about to get much smaller.

Drew was average today. Only one td with 2 picks. Should have gave chase a shot against that vaunted jacksonville defense. You know, just to see if he had the Ivory "wow" factor.

Drew has proven himself over a six year career with us. Ingram doesn't have that luxury as of now. Shitty comparison.

And there we have it. Drew got 6 years, Ingram 4 games. Nice.

That you two are judging a player off of his first 4 games in the NFL? Yeah, there's something obvious here.

we can't say he's been average so far? what's so wrong with that? no one is saying these four games are it and he's destined for 3-4 yards and a cloud of dust.

Positive experience is earned, not assumed. You can not assess beyond what has been shown.

yes it was. 4 games isn't enough time to judge a player.

Every team grades all of its players after each of its games. Unless you're a rookie. Coaches refuse to grade rookie performance because "its too early."

Right.

So, cupcake, what exactly are you expecting numbers wise for him on a passing team with Pierre and Sproles commanding touches as well? I really am just interested to know.
