Not typically a conspiracy theorist myself but I do have to wonder if this played into his decision. It may be well known by this point in the coaching circle that Goodell simply isn't going to let him win another SB.

I wonder if his departure will mean a change in how the Saints are treated by Goodell and his minions?

The final two cuts:
1. MNF: The Saints beat the Bucs and then the next week half the team has COVID and the NFL won't move the game after setting precedent the week before (including with the Rams). And oh, by the way, half the team gets COVID after playing the Bucs and yet ZERO Bucs players have it the next week? Come on.
2. WEEK 18: The Rams blow a certain win after going up big and the Saints miss the playoffs. Two weeks later, somehow, Tom Brady and Aaron Rodgers are eliminated and the Rams get a home game for the NFC Championship. It's a Christmas Miracle!
