That's why he had it put in last offseason

Just another roadblock in your ridiculous scenario. He could just play out the contract, sign with Denver as a FA, and they keep their best player and 2nd round pick


And just forget the other BS flaws in your logic you failed to address.

Here's another roadblock: the saints would be over the cap.

Trading away Brees is crazy. Brees is the only thing keeping us from being Cleveland. Teams spend years looking for a Manning or a Brady to be the franchise QB. Since 2002, there has been Brady or a Manning (Eli and Peyton) or Roethlisberger in every superbowl. Sometimes both starting QB's were in the list above.

We have a QB that is equal to these guys and you want to trade him away?

Who cares if he's got 3 or 4 years left? Do you really think that any of the QB's in this year's draft are going to compete for a championship in the next 3 years??
