Despite their great offense, it took Greeg Williams getting them to play out of their minds in '09 for them to win it all. To bad that dfense didn't stick around and Williams didn't or appear to be the stand up guy I thought he was.

it counted in the regular season too, but Eli bailed their arse out with 4th quarter after 4th quarter comeback (kind of like his last 2 super bowls).
He made some great throws last year in the Super Bowl and threw for 5000 yards on the season
Finished with 9 touchdowns and 1 int in the playoffs
Bottom line: They aren't even in playoff contention last year without Eli

The pass in the first SB was a miracle pass. But Eli is not the reason they win, he has developed confidence since the first SB win, yes. But the their defense is outstanding when it wants to be. They go to San Fran last year and shut them down there, yes, Eli has played good, but the Giants defense is the reason they win.
The bottom line is the reverse. They don't stand a chance winning on the road in the playoffs without a great dfense.

Watching this game sucks, makes me wish hard for the Saints to get a real defense. Hopefully we get it going against the Chiefs this Sunday.
