What was the apology? I would have probably just said a back-up QB made a mistake of not running the play that was called. I would have burnt any career Jameis Winston may have had left to the ground.

I have a sick feeling that Goodell let the Saints win these last two games for two reasons:
(1) The Saints can retain DA.
(2) The Saints dropped their draft position.
