Best free agent signing in NFL history and it's really not even close (some will argue Reggie White but he did have a guy named Favre on his team).

Agreed... it's a unique situation and Brees was a perfect man for the job here.

Here's to many more seasons of Brees/Payton and the playoffs

eta: by the time Manning approaches Favre's records, Brees should be top 5 all time in completions, yards, and touchdowns
