Some of you act like that's insane... Devery and David for Rudi sounds about right, but they might want two recievers. Don't forget Tampa was trying hard to get Devery in the offseason.

Yeah. he could continue to average 2-3 yards per carry here, which is what he has done the past 2 seasons.

There is a reason they are looking to get rid of him- then again, its the Bengals, maybe they are pissed because he does not have a rap sheet

He is definitely on the downside and could be released outright if not traded. That said, I wouldn't mind seeing him added for someone ya wouldn't mind seeing gone anyway.

Here are comments from a Bungles message board about them shopping him-

Who in their right mind would trade a proven receiver for a running back who has chronic hamstring problems, has a ton of tread on his tires, and is coming off a horrible season?

I cant even think of a team that would entertain a trade for Rudi unless we gave up a pick....
maybe Detroit?

What kind of reciever could we honestly get for Rudi?
He is on the backside of his career. His hamstring hasn't been good in camp thus far. I just don't think we could get anything great.

I doubt we could get a 5th round pick for Rudi, much less a quality WR. The only jackass that might do it is Matt Millen.

I do think if the Bengals made the pot sweet enough with picks they could get a Boldin or a Williams, and definitely they could get a lesser WR like maybe a Devery Henderson type guy. I would rather they go all out and make a run at an elite young receiver if they are going to do anything, if for no other reason than we would know what T.J. and C.J.'s fates will be.

Now I do like the sound of adding draft picks bundled for an expendable player(s). How 'bout Devery, David, and Duckworth or Alleman for Rudi and a 2nd (should be a good one)?

I know this was a joke, but some of you are actually entertaining the idea. SFP I am ashamed of you. As knowledgeable as you present yourself to be, Rudi Johnson is nowhere near as good as any back we have on our roster right now. Notice I said RIGHT NOW. You dwell too much on past stats. Who gives a shite what he did 3 or 4 years ago. He hasn't done anything lately to advocate this trade and shows to continue that or the Bengals wouldn't be willing to toss him. We would be fools to make this rediculous trade.

Maybe we should trade you to the Bengals forum for a newbie? How about that?
