Details on Jimmy Graham's 3-year, $30 million deal with #Packers: He got an $11M signing bonus, due $13M total in 2018. Trigger: a $5 million roster bonus due next March. $300K each year is tied to per-game roster bonuses. An extra $250K incentive each year he makes Pro Bowl.

Glad we sat this one out. Essentially a 1 year, $13 million deal.

Yeah, but he will do well up there. Even though in the past GB has not used the TE in the passing game as much I would not be suprised with the turnover he gets over 1k yards.

The $13 mil is the cash payout from what I gather, which means he has a $2 mil base this year for a cap hit of $5.7 mil this year. If he plays 16 games it'll be a total of $6 mil cap this year.

My guess is the hangup was over the guarantees.

Graham contract.

So pretty much exactly what it is. They basically structured it to make it a 1 year, $13.3 mil deal and then dangled a large roster bonus in year 2 if he plays well, or he hits FA again next year and cashes in again.

I imagine we would have gotten close to the $10 mil per GB gave him, but the opportunity to cash in for over $13 mil ($13.5 total if he plays 16 games and makes the pro bowl) for one year and then being able to cash in again next year was too great for Graham to pass up.

Well played GB. You overpaid but found a way to get your man.

$27 mil over 3 years, so $9 mil per.

We basically paid him $13 mil for 2014 ($4 mil in 2014 and then $9 mil in dead money in 2015).
