Three times we saw him throw the ball away on 4th down, once on 4th and game. Rather than give a teammate a shot, threw it in the dirt or the stands. He doesn’t want to risk an INT on his stat line.

Yep the truthers on here would always bring up his safety net stats: QBR, completion %, rating etc. Never any real life production numbers. And then they really hated when I would bring up per game production. He’s always bottom of the league when it comes to production per game. Which is kinda important seeing as the games are played individually That’s why I always used to say Jameis is just as good as Carr. Yea Jameis has more turnovers but part of it’s because he’s trying to push the ball down the field. If you throw a int on 3rd or 4th down, it really doesn’t fricking matter that much. Carr was relatively safe with the ball, would accumulate yards but it’s all empty if you can’t put the ball in the end zone. And that’s something he’s never been good at.

That the best you can do? You still can’t admit he’s a bum? You can’t admit Loomis is a retard for giving him $150 million backloaded?

Why don't you go back to the Carr signed thread and pull the one's that loved the signing and were very excited for the future?

Fwiw you can’t blame people who have no say so on player personnel for being excited and hopeful Carr would work out here. I’m not a fan of his, never followed him in Oakland but all I could have done is hoped it worked out. We’re always 50/50 if a player works out or not, being correct on Carr is just a coin flip. Brees shoulder could have given out in 2006 and many would have looked dumb back then. No different than how we think our draft picks will work out.

Jairus Byrd was a home run FA and flatlined here. Jabari Greer was a nobody and excelled here. Mike McKenzie was the guy that got abused by Randy Moss in GB and became a highlight real, yet played well here. Not very many people banked on Kamara during draft day and having the kind of production he’s had in New Orleans. We all hit and miss regarding draft picks and FA pickups.

And yes, I want Carr gone

Did I mention his weird cult-like following? He'll be a televangelist I just know it. Only then he'll be stealing money from poor gullible common folks instead of billionaires.

Holy deflection. It was a horrible signing of an aging proven loser who was just fired. And then we gave him a stupid back loaded contract that has us handcuffed to him. The Loomis apologists on this board would attack anyone who criticized Carr or his contract.

When he was losing it at Olave in 2023 when Olave wasn't even part of the route tree.

The better question should be....when did you realize MT13 was right about Carr???? 100% out of line, but right

MT is a dumbass cancer. I don’t give a shite what he thinks. I also don’t care about Carr’s stupid shenanigans. The bottom line is he’s not good at football, he’s not a smart quarterback, he’s aging, and Loomis gave him a really stupid contract.

I’m actually glad Carr is pulling this crap. I hope I never have to see him in a saints uniform again.

May want to look up what deflection is; nothing I said was deflection of anything.

Sure, as I said, all we can do when Loomis picks players is hope they succeed. That doesn't make anyone a Carr lover fanboy or Loomis apologist. I doubt Loomis posts here, we don't have a choice but to hope the player works out. My fandom is based on a team, not a specific player. I've never followed the Oakland Raiders, and most of us probably haven't. All we could have hoped for is he turned it around here.

If they bring back Junior Gallette, Eli Apple, MT, and Brandon Browner, and resign Carr to a new contract, as a Saints fan, I can just hope it works out. I haven't quit watching in over 45 years and I'm not gonna quit just b/c they bring in players that suck. If you want change, go talk to Gayle

I will say - I was hopeful he could find his groove here and maybe play a tad better than he had, and I can admit my hope for that was misplaced. i will eat my crow for that one.

I mean as fans I think the point of discussion (especially on sports message boards) is to debate, critique, and analyze what’s going on. We aren’t always on here to say who dat, rah rah rah go saints. Yea maybe our opinions have little to no significance. But every discussion is a representation of what some fans are thinking. There’s plenty of pissed off fans that don’t post on ST and I promise you Mickey and Gayle are starting to feel it.

Well, sure, but some of ya'll get way too overemotional if someone made some positive comments about Carr 2-3 years ago. I'm not sure if I've ever made a positive comment on here about him or not, just saying if someone has, it's ok Most of it is just people hoping for the best.

I'm not saying we can't bash Loomis or Carr. I just don't get the overdramatic madness over some fans who hoped Carr would work out.

Nothing to get it's just the off season. Starting with the draft it's more football talk all the way to the SB and thank God!

Of course once the game starts you can cheer for the team to succeed. No problem with that

Once the game stops I should be able to talk on the Saints board and discuss why I think Carr is a horrible qb and why I think Loomis is fricking us. And if the truthers want to tell me to go off myself, no worries. I’ll be here to serve them crow and I’ll do it without any vulgarity.

No one thought Carr was the next franchise qb lol. He was just the best we could get at the time. You guys need to stop with that rhetoric.
