The vet minimum salary rule keeps older guys on par with guys in their 3rd year cap wise. This year anyone making vet minimum with 2 or more accrued seasons counts $570,000 against the cap. Rookies count $420,000 and 2nd year guys cost $495,000.
That's why you see these older, better players settling for vet minimum.

That's fine but just bring in Goodie and let the rook develop before just throwing him out there.
You don't draft a center in the first three rounds not to start him. It's one of those positions that you target in the top 100 picks because you want a guy ready to go in year one.

Possible. Really depends on how the market plays out. He's 35 so that's a huge strike against him.
