I just think that if you want to win in this league, you need to have as many threats as possible on offense, and Harvin fits that mold.

ETA: Brees will get him the ball for sure

Which is why the Giants won the last Superbowl with their D.

Which is why Colts had years of futility in the playoffs until their D came together when Sanders got back from an injury.

Which is why Bears got to the Superbowl with fricking Rex Grossman at QB?

We have to have a TE to open up the offense.

Either a true LT or a safety, whoever is better at their position that is available. We need a stud running back too. Truth is though, this teams problems go deeper than one player and includes coaching as well. One good pick will not turn this around.

You can find RBs in the third, which would probably be our best bet in that regard.

Mike McKenzie down for the year brings back questions of CB depth.

Do we have a 3rd? What are our first five round picks, anyone?

Ok we have

1st
6th
7th

We don't have

2nd
5th

We may have

3rd
4th
or both

The Vilma deal could cost us a 4th, 3rd, or 2nd. Even if it doesn't cost us a 2nd then we owe that to the Giants.

So

1st
3rd
4th

6th
7th

The two in bold are in the air.
