I know not many of the Pelisons watch soccer, but currently in MLS Orlando City is proving why a quality coach is one of the most important things in sports.

Last year OCSC finished 3rd to last, the year before that they set the record for most goals allowed in a season. They fired two coaches in that time and went out and hired Oscar Pareja, a coach who has won titles in MLS. OCSC just finished second in the MLS is Back tournament, beating the favorites in their run to the finals. The starting lineup is 9/11 of the same players from last season.

The moral of this is that the Pels are exactly like OCSC in that they have a solid core group that needs coaching. A coach who can use cohesive tactics/lineups, preaches doing the little things well, and doesn’t tolerate half arse effort can turn the Pels into a true contender. We have some holes to fill, namely a consistent PG and C, but this core group is dangerous.

Tl;dr: If we make a good hire the NBA is fricked until BI and Zion decide to retire.
