I don’t have any insight, but nothing Griffin has said or done besides customarily picking up his team option for next season a month into his tenure to not have that lingering out there with a new regime indicates to me that the team is truly married to Gentry.
I suspect, again, with no evidence, just based on my impression of Griffin in interviews and articles, that they are doing their due diligence and if this team continues to flounder Gentry will not be here past this season. But it also seems pretty clear to me Griffin isn’t one to risk making a difficult situation worse by firing a coach midseason to play the carousel game.
