So proud to be a fan of the Saints and Pelicans

Both of these franchises from ownership, management, and players represent our state with total class. Both franchises do their very best to acquire the highest character players that our fans love to cheer for. What I really like most is how each team will run off any player, and I mean any player that is a locker room problem. I've written this before. When the Pels win the NBA Championship it will be bigger than the Super Bowl. Try to visualize winning four rounds of playoff victories. Six weeks of building up to the final game. Bigger than the Super Bowl. Thank you Tom and Gayle Benson, and thank you Anthony Davis for forcing the trade.

I'm happy too, but nothing will top the Superbowl.

Peak time for New Orleans sports.

We really do have a chance for both professional teams to win big the next few years. I realize most fans think you must have a championship QB to win it all, but the past has proven that wrong. Hostelier, Dilfer, a broken Peyton, and a very lucky Eli. What wins most Super Bowls is a great defense, and the Saints appear to have that this year. Now, the way I see it. The Pelicans are taken baby steps to win for several years. I don't believe Griffin will be reckless trying to chase a championship. They still have a couple of moves to make this off season that would improve the roster and upcoming season. The immediate future is bright for both Pels and Saints.

I mostly agree but Jameis is the starting qb/face of the franchise. He has a very questionable past from his college days. Don't know that I can say he's a "classy" person.

This is why this board needs a mod.
This, as shown before morphs into a Saints thread on a Pels board.
Threads like these belong on Saints Talk.
