Would never happen. No way they sit a healthy Zion for the home game on the B2b. Especially for a eastern conference team.

Maybe but seems like the plan has been to rest him in the second game.

Plus personally I want to see Zion v Wemby.

How about we just don’t rest the 23 year old instead?

Lol welcome to the 2023-24 pelicans season. Hes going to rest- whether we like it or not. To be fair he hasn’t been injured so in their eyes its working.

I would hope the plan is to do what is best to win both games, and I don’t
see why it has to be the first game of the back to back, especially knowing CJ can only play the first one and, like most teams our role players play better at home. So it seems pretty apparent Zion would likely be most needed for the Bulls game. I’d prefer to just make sure he stays well under 30 minutes Friday and Saturday and let him play both games. But I doubt they do that with the Kings game on Monday,

They play a few more times. I want to win games, especially after we just dropped two very winnable games in Utah.

He’s been playing the first and sitting the second of every back to back. If they’re putting even a little more stock in the In Season Tournament game on Monday than a normal game then there’s no reason to think that will change. They’ll want him to get as much rest as possible before Monday. Ie. play Friday, rest Saturday.

Personally beating a weak west team at home is probably better than beating a weak east team on road. It makes more sense to rest him against bulls honestly. From a rest standpoint, zion getting to play at home and bulls are an east team.

I mean if we are at the stage of he needs to have two off days to be able to be ready to play at full strength at the Kings, then OK. But, again, this would seem pretty obvious that Friday we are playing a terrible Spurs team at home and will have CJ available for that game. The Bulls also suck but the game is on the road and we know we will not have CJ. The West is too damn tough to drop another really winnable game like we did twice in the last week. Playing Zion against the Bulls makes that way less likely. But I agree they won’t do it.
