Gave the MVP to Clarke. Thanks for defending the P&R Bess. Super disrespectful to NAW who finished 3rd in ppg behind Frank(1 gm) and Lonnie Walker(2 gms), tied for 4th in assist/pg, and 5th in steal/pg behind two guys who played one game. Throw in 4.8 rebounds a game.

Eh, Jerian Grant, Tyrus Jones, and Glen Rice are all past Summer League MVP's.
I'll be fine, Naw will be fine. They don't always get it right.

As were Blake Griffin, John Wall, Dame, and Lonzo. Grant and Jones were the same year. But it ain't about future projections, it's about putting respect on the man's body of work.

Hence the, “they don’t always get it right” part.
I actually like what I saw of Brandon Clark. I don’t have to knock the other guy to think someone else was better deserving.
Because if I’m honest, I’m taking Jayson Tatum over Lonzo Ball. Or Trae Young, DeAndre Atyton, or Jaren Jackson over Josh Hart.
Summer league is what it is. It tells who belongs, gives a window into the skillsets of players, and has a lot of weird proclivities that are rarely perfect transfers of NBA talent. So it’s useful, but you’d be wise not to make it your be all.
