There is 1 thing that I dont get with AD and Team USA. I am very excited for AD to be on this team and play with the best players in the game day in and day out. He will gain valuable experience just practicing and being with them everyday. Plus, this team is loaded at every position, except for bigs down low(Tyson an AD) which brings me to this question. If we are so weak at true post players, why put AD on the roster if hes not going to play? The only C on the team is Chandler. I get that we have had a bunch of injuries with Bosh, Dwight, Griffin, etc. We are very weak at the position that is Spain's strength and if we arent going to use AD, why waste a spot for a guy that wont play? If DeMarcus Cousins was picked for this team i guarantee you that Coach K would give him some minutes. I dont want to say that AD spot is a waste, beacuse i am so pumped the kid is out there, but if your not going to use him whats the point?
