Anyone know who they would rather go to here in the BR area?
I know of four different places but want to make sure i don't get hosed.

Thanks in advance.

You will get hosed by any and all record stores. What records do you have?

Because I may be interested in purchasing some/all of them. And I’ll actually give you a fair price

Most record stores will tag a significant mark up for cost of rent and overhead. There's a mom and pop record store close to my work place, their used vinyl/cd inventory is extensive, lots of rarities and hard to find stuff.

Their prices range from $18-$45 for an LP. However, the owner is open to walk in customers who want to sell any albums or part of a collection. He pays $5-10 for a used vinyl, so there's the profit that they make.

So my recommendation is, try eBay or Discogs.

Are you trying to offload a bulk set of vinyl? If so, you'd be better off selling to the one of the posters here. A record store won't give you much at all.

If you are looking to sell some collectible / rare vinyl, ebay (or discogs) is what you want. You can look on ebay's sold listings to see what you should expect to sell your stuff for.

Thanks
Basically culling through ~800 lps that I inherited.
Mostly 60s - late 80s r&r. Country pop disco Motown mixed in.
Boston zep AC/DC scorpions etc. and I’m finding many that I have two to three of the same album.
I want to keep the r&r collection just would like to sell / trade the extras to upgrade collection in this era.

you sir ain't right! lol

for one, I would have to forefeet most of the collection for a fair trade.
Two, I'm really not interested in a second mortgage.

Seriously I hope all is well with you and yours.

I met a girl once a few years ago..she had the 2 early covers on her right arm, a shame really as she was attractive and very personable.

although tattoos are not for everyone that would not have been a deal breaker for me.

What a shame you'll never know what could have been if that in fact was the reason for not pursuing her.

I love any form or fashion of art. Sort of addicted to it really.
