Not sure if there are many Typhoon fans here. I saw them by chance at SXSW about 7 years ago and they blew me away. Anyway, they have a new album out, "Offerings", and it may be some of their best work. The album is probably their best produced album. Everything just comes together great.
So what do they sound like? It's kind of hard to compare them, but Sufjan Steven's album Carrie and Lowell came to mind as far as the mood and themes, but with more instrumentation.
Anyway, give them a listen if you like. Here are a couple samples from the new album and some of their old stuff:
Unusual
Rorschach
From their older stuff
The Honest Truth
If you ever get a chance to see them live, don't miss out.

Had been listening to the first set of songs the put out from this on repeat.
Made it about halfway through the full album so far.
Their first LP White Lighter is heavy in my rotation as well.
