Title Track for Jeff Lynne's ELO's 'Out of Nowhere" (Album releasing in Nov)
quote:

Lynne, the band’s singer-songwriter, performed virtually every instrument on the new record — just as he did on Alone in the Universe. According to the Amazon pre-order, he played “nearly every note of the music on guitars, bass, piano, drums, keyboards and vibes, as well as singing all of the lead and layered harmony vocals,” with engineer Steve Jay “[adding] some percussion.”

No surprise. The last of the original Wilbury's.

Funny, I was thinking just this morning how much I miss George. He was the last Beatle who still had something to say / worth hearing, due in no small part to Jeff Lynne.

Glad he's still touring and creating new music. The song sounds like an old friend.

You're right. He only seems dead.

I sort of wish he'd had Dhani Harrison play on a track or two, since he's been touring with Lynne.

But Lynne's always been comfortable going alone in the studio. I think he said the "percussion" that the engineer did in the last album was helping out on some hand claps.

Hopefully he'll follow this with another tour. Mike Stevens did an amazing job of putting together a touring "orchestra" for Lynne. I hope he's available for the next tour.
