The Revivalists' New Album: "Take Good Care"

From past threads I can see that the board's consensus is that they are a good local band, but that their lead singer, David Shaw, is a bit of a tool.
I won't argue that, but I have been a fan of them for awhile.
Just listened to their new album, "Take Good Care." I find it a little more mellow than usual, no real hits, but no completely terrible songs either. So overall a decent album to listen to casually.
Personally, I think my favorite song is " Celebration." What say you all?

I liked the album. I think it was better than men among mountains but not as good as city of sound or vital signs.
You can definitely tell this album is more heavily produced. I think it will have more mass appeal and maybe some radio popularity. I liked "got love" and "some people say" best
I love the revivalists, they put on a really good live show. I saw them at the Varsity for the first time in like 2012 and I've been a big fan since. I go see them whenever they're back in Nola. Unfortunately I think they have outgrown Tipatina's. I met Dave Shaw a few times and he seems like a nice enough guy to me fwiw.

I like The Revivalists.
I don't like this album.
I was fair and listened twice. Just can't do it.
Way over-produced for a radio friendly sound.
Very cookie cutter sound on this one.
Would be interested to hear why the singer is an arse.

my gf loves them.
I think he intentionally sings the way he does, as in makes his voice sound like that, and it sounds stupid to me.
And he just doesn't seem that talented..
I don't necessarily think he's an arse tho, just don't love him
