Slacker premium is also on demand listening.

It also creates stations etc like pandora if you dont wanna pay.

Anybody done both?

Just downloaded the app for the free radio version

Based on that part alone its atleast better than Pandora as a radio app

I think im going to use both to supplement each other with me paying for Spotify still because im invested in it. Spotify has a radio capability but not on the mobile version so Slacker may be better if you like that feature

Spotify on demand streaming is free if you are using a PC. If you want to use it on mobile devices, then you'll have to pay for the premium.

I love the pay version of Spotify. I don't have 3g where I live so streaming music when I'm on the go is out of the question. With Spotify I just need to make a playlist and then I can download it to my phone when I'm on Wi-Fi at home.

ETA: Plus there are apps you can use on spotify to create a radio station like in Pandora or Slacker and then you can make that available for offline. I look at it this way, it's ten dollars a month but I don't have to buy any more CD's so if I already bought one CD a month i'm saving money.
