I'm guilty of the lists, and I like the lists. That's a great way to discover new music as well as to reflect on the music that came out in a given year.

They are both far above anyone else in country music.
I like both of them a lot. I think Southeastern is one of the better albums of the last few years, same for Metamodern Sounds in Country Music. I listen to both regularly, so I really couldn't choose one above the other.
