Was at the joy

Phenomenal set list

Not as hissy about the crowd as I’ve seen before but I grew tired of (albeit mostly playful) comments about people going to the bar or restroom between songs. It was about the most polite crowd I’ve ever seen

Didn’t find it wise when he started talking about how he was taken off the radio for being mean and lonely

Really enjoyed the set and totally comfortable recommending it with a caveat to ignore the performer and enjoy the performance

Also that comment that he has 4 releases planned by end of year including a triple album for his birthday - wild he could be serious

Saw him at the Joy in NOLA Sunday night...3 hour and 15 minute set. 35 songs.

Good lord. I don’t think I am ready for sitting for 3.5 hours listening to acoustic music but I will try my hardest tonight

It wasn’t easy but I did it. His banter was mostly fun. Played 3:25. High quality musicianship.

99% of the comments on his Instagram have been positive reviews after the show. I think the solo shows in seated theater size venues is where he needs to stay. I wish he was under the thumb of a record label/producer to limit the quality and quantity of his new recordings. I haven’t been excited about any new material in probably over 15 years.
