Obviously never broke big in the U.S., Slade is one of those underrated "influence" bands that came out up in Britain in the late 60s/early 70s (like Mott the Hoople, T-Rex who were much bigger back home than they ever were here) - Quiet Riot actually made hits out of Cum on Feel the Noize AND Mama We're All Crazee Now.

Run Runaway is such a fun song, like most Slade songs. It always reminds me of the sound that Scottish band Runrig captures in some of their upbeat numbers - in fact Runrig - Skye (Live) was released the same time (1983/1984) as Run Runaway. A more extended, "progressive" style song, it captures much of the same vibe.
