Lifes Rich Pageant (1986)
Document (1987)

If it "pre-Document vs. "post-Life's... there is nothing to discuss except about 3 months of them sitting around the house.

Murmur (1983)
Reckoning (1984)
Fables of the Reconstruction (1985)
Lifes Rich Pageant (1986)
Document (1987)
Green (1988)
Out of Time (1991)
Automatic for the People (1992)
Monster (1994)
New Adventures in Hi-Fi (1996)
Up (1998)
Reveal (2001)
Around the Sun (2004)
Accelerate (2008)
Collapse into Now (2011)

I would divide their history between Green and Out of Time.

I saw them at the Bayou at LSU in 1982ish. Well, I waited outside and watched through the window as my bro and his friend went inside.

I thought you meant that tiny little time frame of 1986-87.

I believe he would like to discuss the 4 months between the two albums that they did not do anything. This should be an interesting discussion.

That's just stupid

Come on. Think about it. It's really not that difficult.

Actually, I think they released Dead Letter Office after Life but before Document... so they weren't JUST sitting around the house... they were re-packaging old outtakes.

The liner notes written by Peter Buck were pretty funny, too.

The old CD I have has the Chronic Town EP slapped on at the end... not sure if that's how it was originally released, or not (I bought the cassette back in '87)!

edit: I now realize your were talking about their cover of "Crazy", not the crazy cover. My bad.... but I do like the liner notes

Yeah, the Pylon song. One of my favorite covers of all time. I had Chronic Town on vinyl as well as DLO. Then bough the DLO disc and got CT too.
