Perry Farrell of Jane's Addiction to start PerryLoopsa in March '14

No concrete dates yet as twitted by Dave Holmes, but San Diego, Los Angeles, San Jose, Spokane, Oklahoma City, San Antonio, East Rutherford NJ, Cleveland, St Paul MN, Knoxville, Charlotte, and Boston have already announced participating gigs with L.A. doing as many as 4 shows at both the Staples Center and two TBD sites. At least 20 more cities rumored to be the likes of Chicago, Toronto, and Mexico City are still in the works.
All hosting sites must have approval from Farrell and production partners Billy Duffy, Rick Rossovich, and Eric Avery before they can be officially announced and have to be able to surpass all fire code regulations. With good reason. Most musical acts are from periods from the 1970's until today, with the majority no strangers to sellout crowds. The purpose behind this major tour is to as Farrell surprisingly and candidly put it, "To make headway and to be up there with the likes of Ozfest, even though we are not nearly as loaded from the arsenal of metal and heavy stuff...we still have groundbreaking stuff and music people have not seen or heard from in years. Top that, anyone?" Farrell also patiently, but succinctly told reporters at his Malibu home press conference that Jane's Addiction would not be playing, nor would The Cult, despite Farrell and Cult veteran lead guitarist Duffy producing the project with other investors. Also, Eric Avery, original bassist for Jane's Addiction and front man of outfits such as Polar Bear and Deconstruction says he will not be musically involved unless "the earth shatters."

"I want to spectate and soak it all in and not be an attraction," he told reporters.

"Still, all in all, bases are loaded for this event and we hope they stay that way," according to Farrell. "I think these bands as a collective bring out an inner-being and can create a ripple effect unsurpassed and also never even witnessed. This is a lineup that summons great energy."

The following bands are expected to join the tour throughout certain legs, but are not entrapped into playing what Farrell is calling as many as 35 shows spread out into three countries during a two month period:

Tickets will go on sale in November and 10 percent of all proceeds throughout the tour will go to the Steven Adler Foundation for Troubled Kids.
