Paul English, the long time drummer, manager, and right hand man for Willie Nelson, has died at the age of 87. What a life, from gang leader to pimp to the highest paid sideman in the music business.

Poodie Locke was the first to go way too young 10+ years ago, my father and Willie were friends before he passed away in the mid 90's. He went out on the road with him a few times in the late 70's as part of Willie's traveling family, he had some stories. Still know some of my dad's friends that are still close to Willie, they get care packages from Hawaii all the time
