Just released. I was hoping for more heavy songs like Alligator, but not so much. It’s pretty different from their last two, but I’m digging Stuck in Gravity and Soothsayer. The rest of it seems kind of meh. Anyone else have a listen?

Was disappointed after the first listen.

Alligator and Wild Roses were good singles but the rest of the album kind of sounded the same to me.

Has there ever been another genre drop off and turn go crap like alt-folk. Head and the heart sucks, Mumford sucks, and this will likely suck. I loved this genre and these bands have become absolute cheese factories.

I might put the Decemberists and Avett Brothers in there too.
The King is Dead and The Carpenter are two of my fave albums of the last decade. None of their other albums really grabbed me. I do recall I and Love and You being decent.

Seems like lots of these bands run out of stuff to say after one or two big albums(lyrically and musically). Or maybe trying too hard?
