For those who don't know him:
He was born in Shreveport, moving to TX at age 6

This was a huge deal at the time (which was quite a bit before my time.) Lots of cold war power maneuvering. He was a celebrity in Shreveport, where he was born. His mother lived there until her death. When he visited her, which was often, there was usually a story on the news.
