But why compare Hood rappers to a mainstream artist like Drake? They have completely different styles, so to say that Drake is garbage you might as well just say that mainstream rap is garbage.

There's not a lot better mainstream out today. The early 2000s mainstream was much better, but there aren't any rappers today that are doing it the same way they did it.
I didn't listen to the whole song, just Freeway & the Ali dude.

I don't think it was BETTER per say...I seriously think guys who are bad in today's mainstream are waaaay worse IMHO
