Dates were just released for this spring tour which seems like one of the best multi-band events taking place next year.

However, the closest tour stop as of now is Houston on Saturday, February 21. Most of the dates take place in Canada and the Northeast.

What do you guys think is the likelihood that this tour would remain together for a second leg, or, at the very least, Megadeth would come through New Orleans later in the year?

Considering that Slayer, Testament, and Carcass, are touring together as well, I would hate to think that neither one of the these tours would come within four hours on New Orleans. I saw Slayer live with Hanneman, but I would love to see Testament and Carcass for the first time.

The Slayer will be announcing more dates later. Probably won't come around here though. They've played New Orleans two years in a row now.

Mustaine hates New Orleans. Hopefully they'll come sometime this year though. Between the Civic and Champions Square maybe one of them can bring in Megadeth.

That's what I'm worried about. Honestly, I could kind of take it or leave it with Slayer at this point, but Carcass and Testament would great to see live.

What's the story behind this? I figured nearly all musicians love playing New Orleans.

I saw Megadeth with Slayer and Anthrax in 2010. Their last New Orleans show before that was 1998. They tour pretty often so they had plenty of chances to come back in between.
