I learned guitar post 20.

Save yourself the time, and learn how to read tabs quickly.

You'll wind up there eventually anyway.

I bought my 1st guitar at 39.I bought some beginners books that show how to make chords.It was frustrating.I would put it away for weeks at a time.But somewhere around a year something clicked.

My guess is the younger you are the faster you'll pick it up.I can't read music.I'm 51 now and can play Pink Floyd,Neal Young,lots of The Who.

No one is ever too old.You'll love it.
