...on this day in music history, Jim Morrison was found dead in the bathtub of his Paris apartment. I was at the Piedmont Club on Jefferson Highway when the news broke over WLCS radio station.

I grew up with a guy who SWEARS he hung out and did drugs with Jim Morrison who was, allegedly, living in an abandoned plantation house on the River Road. This kid was even mentioned in a Rolling Stone article from the early 1980's entitled: "Jim Morrison - He's hot, He's Sexy, and He's Dead."
