It's a shame that so much of Lightfoot's talent was wasted due to his alcoholism. Dude was an incredible musician, just had trouble holding it together.

My dad talks about going to see him on multiple occasions and him being to drunk to play the majority of those times. It's pretty sad what drinking to that degree will do to someone. And it can sneak up on you quicker than you think.
