Is anyone here into reel to reel?

My uncle was in a band (more like a group of guys that played music) in Vietnam. They recorded a reel to reel which he still has, but hasn’t heard since Vietnam. I’m considering trying to grab a player or some type of way to convert it to digital, but I don’t know anything about it. Just wondering if there are any experts here. I’m interested in a player anyway so if anyone can provide some knowledge that’d be cool. Thanks in advance.
