Has there ever been a better film about a songwriter? I am obsessed with this movie. From Oscar Isaac acting out one of the better roles I've ever seen, to the soundtrack, John Goodman, screenplay, dialogue...
Since this is the Music Board, figured I'd leave a couple of the memorable songs from the film here. You will not regret listening

The soundtrack was published about 3 months in advance of the movie.i listened to it on repeat for a month. Sometime later they had a live concert that was "the music behind the music" which was nothing short of fantastic. Lots of big names in the folk world were there. Sadly, Justin Timberlake was not- I would've loved to hear him sing 500 Miles live. I haven't seen the film yet. I keep meaning to buy the Blu Ray and just haven't.
But more importantly. The scene you post where they're recording "Please Mr Kennedy" is the first on-screen meeting between Poe Dameron and Kylo Ren.

You should check out Another Day, Another Time: Celebrating the Music of Inside Llewyn Davis. When the movie came out this was available for free for a while but that is no longer the case. But it's an outstanding music documentary.
T-Bone Burnett deserves a lot of the credit for the music.

I have seen this no less than 5 times. I love every second of it. The Punch Brothers lead man and the Milk Carton Kids are probably my favorite.
When they sing the old Irish Bar tune, that is great stuff
