I did listen to an instrumental song on the way home from the office. I dig some of the runs in there. The next song (actually the fountain of whatever one) had some good parts too, but, as others have said, it's the words and the voice that turn me off.

I know this will be unpopular as well, but I feel like Peart uses too many drums. I'm more of a classic roll fill kind of guy.

Well, I was just kidding. Everybody is going to have differing musical tastes. That's what makes the world great. I don't care as much for Rush's later music, mostly their earlier stuff. But I have never been put off or bothered by Geddy Lee's voice. Alex Lifeson is an above-average lead guitarist, and Peart is special, and not at all overrated IMO.

Goes to show you how music affects people in different ways. I find some of it very touching and emotional.
