I'm on my phone right now, so I don't know what song you're talking about, but personally I like Gary Allan. His music tends to be pretty dark but it's good.

Smoke Rings in the Dark, No Regrets, and Songs About Rain are all great. Watching Airplanes, Best I Ever Had, Bourbon Borderline, and If It Was a Drink are also favorites. Great artist IMO.
