I'm about 20 years late...

..but just happened to run into the song "Lioness" by Songs:Ohia. Got absolutely hooked on the song and decided to check out the album.
How has this album been around for over 20 years and I've never listened to it until now? Just amazing...it's melancholy, for sure, but gorgeous at the same time. Not that it sounds like any of these, per se, but if you enjoy Radiohead, The Verve, Bon Iver, The National and have never heard this album, please check it out.

Songs:Ohia is Jason Molina. He has solo stuff and another band called Magnolia Electric Co. Unfortunately he died a few years ago.

My brother told me about this album when I raved to him about Songs:Ohia. Another great effort, for sure...there's a live album of MEC that is really good, as well.
Was upset to hear dude died...would've loved to see him live.
