Help Remembering A Band's Name

I listened to this band in college. They are followed more by the music festival type crowds but it is rap. The rapper has a deep voice like Tone Loc. He has backup singers that are very involved in the songs. It's an underground type sound. Talks real fast sometimes but also has songs where there's not a ton of rap.
