The guy driving his car into the church building and the man getting out and beating the preacher to death with a guitar story on the OT Lounge reminded me of an old radio record segway, because that's the compassionate kind of guy I am, so here you go and what you got?

Baby You Can Drive My Car (Beatles) right into Billy's Joel's Glass House & You May Be Right

What a great segway, by the way, the Beatles track ends with "beep beep, wooo, beep, beep, wooo" then the Billy Joel track starts with the breaking glass...

Almost as good as Riders on the Storm by Jim Morrison into Love Rain Or Me by the Who (never stops raining and it gets harder),

or Just Got Paid Today by ZZ Top into Magic Man by Heart which is completely unreal with the matching long guitar note at the end of ZZ into Heart...

All I could thing of is Pete Townshend smashing his guitar during a Who concert. Smash your guitar, Pete!

Segue. Segway is a scooter.

Before it was all sports, I remember a few Halloween shows and I know these aren't two songs, but I put the Cowardly Lion saying "I do believe in spooks, I do, I do, I do believe in spooks" cut from the Wizard of Oz

into Spooky by the Atlanta Rhythm Section.

One of the best segways I came up with was the song "Boat on the River" by Styx which ends up with the lyrics repeating, "so I won't cry out any more" over and over again.

There's another great song, this one is by Roger Hodgson who used to be with Supertramp called "Sleeping with the enemy" and it starts with a baby crying and that was pretty entertaining running those two together.

cool memories

When I was a DJ in the mid-90s... We were actually allowed to play 2 optional songs an hour... whatever we wanted. Even though it was an "alternative" radio station - I'd often play "Son of A Preacher Man" because Pulp Fiction was hot and it was a great song (my logic being that if nobody else was playing it... It was alternative).

So I had it cued up and ready to go... but one of the engineers HATED it and thought it would be hilarious to switch it to "Honey Bunny" without me knowing.

So I hit play and THIS happened....

...I just slapped in the 106.1... THE ZEPHYR bumper and rolled into the next song.

I so thought I'd be getting fired.
