I never really gave this band much attention, especially the "newer" pop stuff from the '80's.

I picked this box set up a couple weeks ago...

...it is basically the 4 albums they did during this time period accompanied by additional DVDs with all the music videos and out takes/interviews and some alternate tunes that did not make the original albums.

I am really liking the 10+ minute songs that appear on each of the albums.

"Domino" off of "Invisible Touch" album, and "Driving the Last Spike" off the "We Can't Dance" album both clock in over 10 minutes, but they are complex pieces and really good music.

Even the lighter pop stuff that made the radio waves back in the day are nice for late night listening.

There is a sister box to this one that covers the Genesis early years to 1982 that I will probably pick up soon.

I like when I discover great music that has been just under my nose for years.

Thought I would pass it along to the MBers...

Never really cared for them after Gabriel left. Got see them, w/ Gabriel, live in (of all places) Chalmette, La during The Lamb Lies Down on Broadway tour. May have been 200 people to see them.
