Was pretty surprised to see this on the tour dates released yesterday, standing room only show at the Acadiana Center for the Arts downtown. I saw him when he opened for Foo Fighters in Nashville in 2015 and have been wanting to catch a show again ever since. Tickets are a decent $42.

Will definitely get tickets for this. Heard good things about this venue but never been. How is it?

AcA is a nice venue - great new theater they built.

The only downside is parking since it's in downtown Laffy, but overall the venue is very solid.

I'll prob go to this show!

Pretty jealous of this. I’d try to send my sister that lives there, but she’ll probably be up the road at Luke Bryan or some shite

Appears so, his Facebook has something about rescheduling another show but nothing about these, or others coming up.

I'm assuming you know but tickets were sold out quick and about the only place to get them is the secondary market for about $200/each.

ETA: From ACA

"Hi Gary Clark Jr. Fan,

Your event is still happening, but due to Gary Clark Jr. suffering an injury, the date will be postponed until Tuesday, October 30th at 7:30pm.

Gary Clark Jr.

Acadiana Center for the Arts

NEW DATE: October 30th at 7:30pm

It is with our sincerest apologies that we write to inform you of the following: Gary Clark Jr. has suffered an injury that requires his show on May 31, 2018 to be postponed until October 30, 2018. We know you have made great efforts to be at his show, and we are sympathetic to any inconvenience this may cause. We hope to see you at the rescheduled date in October at Acadiana Center for the Arts. "

That sucks. They should get Ben Howard to take his place

I was just turned onto GCJ a couple weeks ago and wasn't going to be able to go to the show.

Hopefully I'll be able to get tickets now

I like it but it can get really crowded when they do standing room only shows.

Bumping this up, I forgot this was right around the corner until ACA sent me a reminder email last week. Really looking forward to this.

People have been begging for tickets on the Facebook event page but no one is selling. There were tickets on Stubhub up around $180/each a few weeks ago, now it looks like there's tickets on Stubhub starting at $85.50 each which isn't as terrible.

It was a great show, he played a few songs that I didn't recognize that I assume will be on the new album.

Turned out the Peterson Brothers are friends with some family friends that live in Texas.

He's pretty good for a guy taught to play blues guitar by a teenage white girl.

Its a pretty cool, and totally unexpected story.
