Future man is cool but he plays what is essentially a drum machine mounted onto a guitar. Have you ever heard him play a real drumset? - not all that impressive. All and all I still dig me some BF and the Flecktones tho

yea i have more respect for Victor Wootens bass skills, it's a good group though and really original sound. Saw them at midtown and they really jammed it.
Few people realize what an incredibly talented drummer Phil Collins is. Peart is of course one of the best ever. One of the best I've ever heard is Mingo Lewis who played w/ Return to Forever, Santana and Al DiMeola among others.
Steve Gadd is one of the best session drummers and one of my personal favorites, his work with Steely Dan is a good example. He makes time signature transitions so smooth you sometimes don't even realize it happened. A "best drummers" list should always at least mention Buddy Rich, and I would add Bill Bruford to that as well.
Here's a guy that obviously likes one of my favorites, Steve Tassler of Starcastle..
