Doing some research: Was Lake Charles a hot destination for big musical acts?

Back in the 1970s-80s? I know Elvis was here in 1975 and Rush came in 1982. Who else?
I remember someone saying LC was a hotspot because it was halfway between New Orleans and Houston or something to that degree.

In case the OT thread gets whacked:
it has a college and in the '70s and '80s many acts would play BR or the MS GC to avoid the NO entertainment tax (which according to a NO promoter I heard lecture at LSU once was enacted to pay for welfare), so it's possible LC sometimes got the overflow of acts trying to avoid NO
