Did any of you guys make it last weekend?
This was my third one in a row, and man, I love this fest.
Just a small camping festival with mostly local/regional acts, but the setting is absolutely perfect, and more often than not, the weather is amazing. Horse Pens 40(atop Chandler Mountain) is a great and popular spot for bouldering with a lot of history. The stone formations there are said to be among the oldest naturally exposed stones in the world, dating from 600 million to 1.3 billion years old.
The stage is in the rocks and boulders, kind of like a little Red Rocks. Super laid back, pretty much a free for all. They have a fall and a spring fest.
Anyone that is into music, camping, and/or climbing and lives anywhere close should check it out next spring. Hell, even if you don't live close, I'd say it is totally worth it to make the trip.

Looks great.I'm in Gadsden so that is 30 minutes away I've never been.
In the 70's a few people started Hang-Gliding off Chandler Mountain on one particular spot overlooking everything.
At least one was killed Hang-Gliding.

You should definitely consider it. I promise you if you go once, you'll probably never willingly miss another one.

Its probably the popular overlook that everyone goes to. Very scenic.
