I saw a Dixie record label recording with Johnny Cash and Goerge Jones singing. I read that it was a vanity label of personal recordings done from non studios? Can you help me with why Cash and Jones would be on the label?

Cash started at Sun then went to Columbia in '59. I don't know why he'd be on Dixie
